What Synology does
Synology NAS devices provide local storage and run HyperBackup, which handles versioned, scheduled backup — including offsite replication where required. Compliance note: Synology storage hardware is not independently certified as GDPR, HIPAA or PDPA compliant on its own — compliance depends on how it's configured and operated as part of the overall system. For Sabah clients, PDPA-aligned configuration is what matters; HIPAA is a US healthcare regulation not directly relevant here.
