What Vigi does
VIGI is TP-Link's dedicated surveillance line — IP cameras and NVRs run through a single VIGI app, with smart detection covering human detection, line-crossing and intrusion zones. It's built to sit on the same TP-Link switches and routers a business may already run, rather than requiring a separate vendor ecosystem end to end.
Where it fits
Structured Cabling — VIGI's PoE cameras and NVR wiring are planned into the same cabling project as the rest of a site's network, keeping camera runs and data runs on one design instead of two.
Typical deployments
Small offices, shoplots and single-site SMEs that want straightforward CCTV coverage without the deeper analytics (ANPR, advanced AI search) that larger Hikvision estates use — VIGI covers the common cases well but isn't the pick for sites needing that extra analytics depth.
